I am an English teacher living in Southern California. One of my favorite things to do is read, and my favorite genre is mystery; I especially love murder mysteries! My love of literature and writing fuel my passion for teaching. I spend most of my nights and weekends focused on my career. I’m either planning and grading student work, or I’m organizing and decorating the classroom.
In 2014, I married my best friend in the world, Andrew. We met in the 4th grade, went to different high schools, and then reconnected in college. After dating for 7 and half years, his mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and given just 2 months to live. Early on in our relationship, we knew that we would get married. But when she was given such a grim prognosis, we knew that we couldn’t imagine getting married without her being a part of it. So we planned our wedding in 89 days. I could not have asked for a more perfect day.
Andrew’s mom passed away 355 days after she was diagnosed with cancer. We were incredibly lucky to have had that time with her.
I currently live in the horse-friendly suburbs with my husband, my father-in-law, my mother-in-law’s horse Ellie, and our two dogs Lady and Ruby.
I am so excited to share my life and adventures with you. Thanks for stopping by!
